Aguiar's Big House

The original construction of the Casa Grande de Aguiar began in the 16th century, although it wasn't until the 18th century that the renovations that gave it its final form were undertaken.
It is located in the heart of the town, opposite the Church of Santiago del Deán (or Church of the Castle). Despite being a Baroque-style manor house, it is not characterized by ornate decoration, beyond small details such as the gargoyles and the family crest. The most notable feature is the tower, used for surveillance and as a lookout point. It is privately owned, so the interior is not accessible.
