Medieval houses

Many of them are located in the historic center, especially in the streets surrounding the Church of Santa María A Antiga do Caramiñal and the Pazo de Aguiar. During the Middle Ages, A Pobra do Caramiñal was a strategic enclave for its commercial and fishing activities. The medieval houses, some of them linked to noble and merchant families, stand out for their functional structure. In some cases, they feature elements such as arcades, wooden balconies, and heraldic shields that recall their stately past. Many have now been restored and adapted for modern uses, maintaining their historic essence.
