Elma cinema theater

The former ELMA cinema, named after the fusion of the first syllables of its owners, Elia and Manuel Escurís, opened in 1953 with 350 seats and screenings three days a week.
The building, designed by architect Antonio Tenreiro, was an icon of the seventh art and remained an audiovisual theater until 1999, when it was transformed into a residential building. Later, now in the hands of the City Council, it became a cultural landmark in 2016, showcasing a diverse program for all audiences. The seating arrangements also allowed for a better view of the audience.
