Eugenia villa

Villa Eugenia has always been a unique location, both for its construction and for the history it has lived within its walls. Built in 1870 in the heart of A Pobra do Caramiñal (just behind the Town Hall and very close to the church of Santa María A Antiga do Caramiñal), it had illustrious tenants such as Ramón María del Valle-Inclán himself and his family between 1921 and 1925.
The building has a rectangular floor plan with a gabled roof. On the main floor, the openings open onto balconies with bars, and the rear façade features a gallery overlooking the gardens. Furthermore, Doctor Antonio Abal and his wife, Eugenia Neyra y Gasset, who gave the villa its name, lived under this same roof. She was Ortega y Gasset's aunt.
