On October 7, 1979, the Cabo de Cruz Rowing Club was founded, one of the leading institutions in Galician rowing, with outstanding performances at the national level.
It has a significant youth academy (under 12, under 12, cadet, and junior) and up to three top-level teams, both men's and women's, in Galicia and Spain. It boasts an enviable track record and was one of the founding entities of the ACT League (Association of Rowing Clubs) in 2003. Furthermore, the club has produced prominent figures in Olympic rowing, both in Spanish championships and representing the national team in World Junior Championships.
