18th century cobbled road

Imaxe por defecto
The cobbled road of the 18th century in Pobra do Caramiñal is a historic road built with large granite slabs that was evidence of the history not only of this municipality, but of the entire region.
Its main purpose was to facilitate the transit of people and markets between the urban center and the rural areas at a time when dirt roads were difficult to navigate, especially in adverse weather conditions. It always plays a key role in commerce and population mobility. Throughout your journey, you can see typical architectural elements of the period, such as stone walls, drainage channels and areas with chanzos adapted to relief. Currently, the cobbled road has become an attraction for hikers and heritage lovers, allowing you to enjoy its privileged natural contour while walking its ancient sections.
