Goiáns manor

The Pazo de Goiáns is an icon of Boiro. Located next to the mouth of the Coroño River and at the gateway to the Arousa Estuary on the Goiáns estate, which occupies an area of approximately 120,000 square meters, it is protected as a Site of Cultural Interest (BIC).
Its construction dates back to the 16th century and was remodeled as early as 1760. It is believed that the original tower may have been destroyed during the Irmandiñas Revolts. Its floor plan is L-shaped, with pointed windows and a tower that ends in a balustrade rather than battlements. The pazo consists of a main residence, chapel, dovecote, wine press, wharf, and fishing pier. Work is currently underway to restore the splendor of this key building in the history of Boiro.
