Araño´s granary

The Araño granary, located in the parish of Araño, is an impressive example of traditional Galician architecture. This granary is the largest in all of Galicia and has the greatest storage capacity.
It also stands out for its excellent state of preservation. Built in stone and wood, it has a gabled tiled roof and eaves topped with crosses, flanked by small pinnacles. Its construction dates back to the 17th century and it still has access stairs on the wall leading to the church of Santa Baia. This granary is a symbol of Galician rural heritage and a testament to the popular engineering that has endured over the centuries.
